Join our team as an optical assistant and discover why M&S Opticians is the right place for you.

You will need the ability to enthuse every customer and converse confidently on anything from a new pair of glasses to our specialist hearing care service. You should have a creative personality and flair for fashion and detail. We are looking for a reliable and passionate individual who can join our small dedicated team.

Previous experience is not essential, although preferred. What is more important to us, is finding the right person for the role, who will take pride in their work and be a team player.

In return, we provide a comprehensive training programme and ongoing support and guidance from the opticians manager and our training department.

What does the role involve?

• Welcoming customers into the branch and supporting them throughout the customer journey.
• Advising customers to choose the right products for their lifestyle needs, spectacles lenses, contact lenses, and hearing care
• You will also use our computer system and do administration, making appointments, cash handling and placing customer orders
• Working within a small team of highly skilled individuals in an environment that is all about the customer.

Optical dispensing: 1 year (preferred)
