Farm Worker
Role Overview & Responsibilities
We are looking to recruit a farm worker for our outdoor Pheasant and Partridge breeding and rearing farm.
Experience of working outside in a similar environment would be beneficial but not essential. The right candidate needs to be motivated, able to work on their own and as part of a team.
The varied role which is predominantly working outside includes collection of eggs from grass laying pens, construction of bird enclosures and housing, the daily care of chicks, including their feeding and maintaining a good standard of practice. Power washing, cleaning & maintaining equipment.
Successful candidates would initially work alongside current team members to gain “on job” training. Further training will be given after a probationary period.
- Basic hours are 39 hours per week. With various overtime required throughout the year, including weekends April - September.
- Basic rate of pay £10.80/hr. Overtime rate £16.20/hr. Review after 3 months probationary period.
- A full driving licence is required, as is your own transport, with our business being in a rural location.
