Role Overview & Responsibilities

Position available for a Trainee or Experienced Pharmacy Assistant / Dispenser for 32+ hours a week at our branch in Portishead, Bristol (BS20). Hours contain shifts of: Monday - Friday, 9am - 6pm. Plus 1 in 4 Saturday Mornings. The branch is fully established and has excellent, friendly team to support anyone wishing to start a new career or in different environment.

Pharmacy Experience and/or previous retail experience is preferred but full training will be provided. Must be well presented, cheerful, well-mannered and punctual. You will need to have good IT skills, and have good organisational and time management skills. You will need to meet deadlines in terms of study. A full nationally recognised training package will be paid for and provided by the company. Must have a driving license and own vehicle.

Duties include receiving, unpacking and putting away orders, greeting and serving patients, prescription filing, serving customers in the shop, answering the phone, processing repeat prescription requests, cleaning, merchandising, stock control, using a till, taking and placing orders, handing out prescriptions to patients, assisting the pharmacy team, along with studying and training. You will be expected to learn quickly on the job, and make notes.

Salary: £9.75-£11.00 per hour
