Summer Warehouse Operative

Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are on the lookout for a temporary summer staff , to join our warehouse team. The position will last between 12 weeks from June to early September.

We are an established school uniform supplier based in the North West and Yorkshire. Our aim is to provide a modern and friendly uniform service for parents and schools alike. The Whittakers brand has been synonymous with quality and value from the beginning and we are dedicated to maintaining the high standard of service expected from us by parents and schools.

The Warehouse is a fast-paced environment, with manual handling involved whilst unloading and sorting the stock. If you have an energetic and bubbly personality, then the role will suit you perfectly.

The vacant position is for various shifts Monday - Sunday, between the hours of 9 am and 5.00 pm.

CANDIDATES MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK ALL OF AUGUST. ANYBODY WITH HOLIDAYS/TIME BOOKED OFF IN THIS PERIOD WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.CANDIDATES MUST ALSO BE ABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS.

• Good team player
• Reliable and flexible
• Good timekeeper
• Knowledge of safe handling of goods
• Able to manual handle potentially heavy goods
• Good attention to detail

Full training will be given for this position and no previous experience is necessary.

Job Type: Temporary contract
Contract length: 12 weeks

Salary: Up to £10.42 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Blackburn BB1 5UD: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
