Main purpose: To assist Practice Nurses in providing nursing care for patients within remit of training.

As part of the nursing team the HCA will be employed to undertake nursing and administrative duties as deemed suitable by the Partners & Nurse Lead. Full training will be given prior to any patient contact. The HCA will work alongside another member of the nursing team. The role involves the use of the computer and keyboard skills along with the ability to organise and prioritise a varied workload.

Tasks will include assisting with Leg Ulcer clinic, diabetic foot checks, NHS Health checks, Blood Pressures, ECG, injections etc.

This role is NOT an Apprentice role. We also have an Apprentice Healthcare Assistant role being advertised if you do not already have an NVQ2 or 3 in Healthcare.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 25-30 per week

Salary: £10.42-£11.52 per hour

• Southampton, SO30 4FQ: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

• GCSE or equivalent (required)

Experience:

• NHS or private sector: 1 year (preferred)
