FLT/Warehouse Operative - Nights

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Night 21.00 – 07.00 Monday to Friday (45 hours) £12.30ph & £14.30ph Overtime

Reporting To: Depot Night Manager / Depot General Manager

Freightroute Ltd is a leading family-owned Palletised Distribution Network, operating from ten strategic sites throughout the UK, employing over 420 people, with a fleet of over 175 LGV's and 100 trailers, handling over 800,000 pallets per annum, our depot in Irthlingborough is integral to our success.

Working within a small team, as a forklift driver you will be responsible for loading and unloading inbound palletised freight safely and moving pallets to and from warehouse, canopy, and vehicles. Efficiently stacking and storing the palletised freight in the appropriate areas.

Who are we looking for?

The successful Forklift Operator will have the experience, skill, and flexible attitude to take on this role and thrive.

• On a daily basis, inspect forklift trucks and, if necessary, reporting any issues found.
• Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety complying with all Health and Safety legislation.
• Ensure inbound and outbound pallets are loaded accurately and free of damage. Also, ensuring all pallets are labelled with the correct labels, reporting any quality/quantity variances to the Traffic Office.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area, assisting in maintaining the tidiness of the warehouse, canopy and trailers whenever required.
• All candidates must possess a current counterbalance certification without exception
• Must be eligible to work in the UK

Previous experience of operating in a busy warehouse environment loading and unloading pallets for a fleet of HGV's and trailers is preferred however new qualified operators are welcome.

A full driving licence / HGV licence or Shunter training would be an advantage.
