IT Technician Apprentice

Role Overview & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be based in our Torquay office. They will receive training to handle support calls and log issues in our ticket management software.

They will learn how to remotely support business customers issues including the following:

• Windows & Apple OS issues
• Microsoft Office software Printers & Network connectivity
• Workshop repairs and troubleshooting of laptop PC & Mac devices.
• Microsoft 365 user management
• SharePoint & OneDrive connectivity issues
• The successful candidate will possess:

• An enthusiasm for all thing IT related.
• Team spirit and a can do attitude.
• Daily tasks may include:
• Provide telephone and face-to-face support to users of IT systems
• Provide support and suggest improvements on the MS office suite package and other systems
• Support users on a wide variety of software and hardware

Training to be provided by South Devon College, one day per week to cover knowledge modules as part of the apprenticeship.
Provide technical support to customers.

Establish and diagnose IT problems and faults.

Undertake relevant processes with tools and technologies to resolve IT issues.

Communicate with all levels of users, talking them through steps to take to resolve issues or set up system.

Apply appropriate testing methodologies to hardware or software Document or escalate IT tasks as appropriate.

Upon completion of your apprenticeship, you will receive a level 3 Information Communication Technician Diploma.

Salary: £14,000.00 per year
