Role Overview & Responsibilities
Are you a Warehouse Operative looking for a new role?
Advanced Recruit are recruiting on behalf of our client who are a leading Manufacturing company in Kingswinford.
Core responsibilities:
- Working in an engineering/production environment
- Sheet steel, wire steel checking using micrometer and verniers and other products
- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles, by hand or with a forklift truck
- To check goods in against delivery notes for accuracy and faults/damages.
- Assisting with the movement of sheet metal around the factory.
- Storing items in relevant sections.
- Packing & assembling goods in boxes.
- Maintaining a clean working environment in yard and shop floor.
- Ensure all stock movement is recorded correctly using the current management system
- To carry out goods inwards and outwards inspection
- Carry out inspection of equipment at goods inwards
- Carry out using measuring equipment and check steel when it comes in from Steel suppliers
- Check all parts coming in from subcontractors, such as heat treatment, powder coating, galvanisers, plating and painting.
- Responsibility to maintain quality records/documents in an organised manner
- Check to make sure we have the correct weight on material when it arrives from material suppliers
- Check all paperwork to make sure it ties up with delivery note
- Write all measurement readings on to the inspection sheet once the steel has been checked.
- Report to the Quality Manager, if there were any defects with the material such as blanks, coils, galvanizers, powder coating, plating, heat treatment and painting.
The ideal person will have the following attributes:
- Goods inwards experience
- Good eye for detail
- Forward thinking
- Computer literate
- Worked on Sage
- In date FLT licence preferred (training will be given)
- Experience working in warehouse in manufacturing or engineering company advantageous
- Ability to work on inhouse stock control system
The package:
- Onsite parking
- Day shifts - 10am-6pm
- £10.50 per hour PAYE/£12.75 per hour Umbrella
