Mill Operative

GB Seeds are currently looking to recruit a full time, permanent, Mill Operative to work at our site in Ingham, Suffolk.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a personable character to work as part of our small and successful specialist grain production team. The primary focus for this role is to aid effective and efficient running of all plant operations and to assist with site responsibilities through good practices and processes. The Mill Operative will assist with all aspects of the production plant including set up, cleaning, packing, quality control as well as warehousing services, and will be required to be efficient and effective in supporting the team in accordance with Company policy and legislation.

The ideal candidate will have both production and warehouse experience, and competency using a fork lift truck. An understanding of seed, grain and or farming would also be advantageous. This role is particularly suited to someone with excellent attention to detail, a high level of accuracy and good communication skills. It is essential that the candidate is flexible in their approach to work and have some experience of working within a production / warehouse environment. You will be required to support with storekeeper duties along with other adhoc duties. Candidates must be able to work to deadlines in a demanding environment and understand the customer service aspects of the role which may require some early starts or later finishes as required during busy periods. Whilst experience would be helpful, full training will be provided
