Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Seven Room Boutique guest house with rooms and spa. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day maintenance, as well as project managing maintenance projects. They will be expected to have a minimum of two years experience in plumbing, joinery or electrics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as painting, carpentry, and plumbing repairs
- Conduct regular safety inspections to ensure compliance with fire and legionella safety regulations.
- Project manage maintenance projects, including scheduling and coordinating work.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
- Coordinate with outside contractors as needed
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- On occasion, be available to respond to out of hours maintenance calls
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in plumbing, joinery or electrics.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of equipment and systems
- Ability to work independently and make decisions
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Flexibility to work various shifts and on call as required.
- Legionella and Fire Safety certification or willingness to obtain.
