Summary of position

Job primarily involves the transport, handling and assembly, of medium to heavy furniture, consisting mostly of bed and wardrobes, from our store’s stockroom to client’s homes/bedrooms. Approximately seventy percent of deliveries will be within the boroughs of Enfield and Haringey.

Additional tasks include offloading new stock from suppliers vans and keeping stockroom tidy and organized for easy and efficient loading/offloading, as well as other reasonable duties for the day to day running of the business.

Skills and abilities

· Highly skilled in driving a luton style van safe and efficiently

· Ability to read the route maps and use the GPS effectively

· Talent for determining the best possible routes in order to save time and fuel

· Physical capability to handle heavy loading and unloading tasks

· Demonstrated ability to act logically and quickly in adverse situations

· Outstanding communication skills targeted at handling correspondence with managers and customers

· Friendly, positive attitude while dealing with clients and colleagues.

· Skilled in assembling furniture through reading instructions/diagrams and familiarity of using basic tools.

Requirements/Knowledge

· Full U.K driving licence without any points

· Sufficient understanding of the High way code

· Good familiarity of the boroughs of Enfield and Haringey

Experience

· Driving in the United Kingdom for at least 5 years

· Driven a Luton sized for at least 1 year

Job Types: Part-time, Commission
Part-time hours: 24 per week

Salary: £88.00-£116.00 per day
