Jewellery Gallery Manager

Join Barbara Harris Water Jewels, a prestigious high end independent Designer Jewellery Gallery located in the heart of Kensington. We are seeking an experienced and talented Jewellery Gallery Manager to spearhead our operations and elevate our client experience to new heights.

Our work week runs Tuesday through Saturday. We are closed Sunday and Monday with the exception of mid November to Christmas Eve. The Gallery hours are 10:00am to 6:00pm. We have some flexibility for the ideal candidate to work P/T 24 hours a week or F/T 40 hours a week. If P/T the days would be Wednesday through Saturday 11:00am to 5:00pm

As the manager, you will be responsible for the day to day running of our small yet exquisite boutique.

Your expertise in managing a high-end independent designer jewellery boutique will be essential in ensuring the seamless operation of the gallery. From inventory management to client acquisition, your skills will contribute to our continued success.

to excel in this role, you must possess exceptional sales and client acquisition abilities. Your knowledge of Gemstones and Pearls will enable you to provide expert advice to our discerning clientele.

Experience with creating and maintaining accurate inventories is crucial to keep our collections organised and up to date. Proficiency in Shopify website management and familiarity with the 1stDibs platform will be advantageous.

While not mandatory, expertise in jewellery design, gouache illustrations, small repairs and working on bespoke commissions will set you apart. Given the owner/designer's frequent absence, we require a candidate experienced in the day-to-day management of an independent designer jewellery boutique, as well as in -depth knowledge of gemstones and pearls.

You will have the opportunity to work independently ,alongside one part-time colleague. Proficiency in social media platforms Instagram, Pinterest and programs including Canva and photoshop is necessary to curate captivating content. Additionally, knowledge of excel and basic knowledge of xero accounts will be expected.

As a strong multi-tasker you will showcase excellent time management and critical thinking skills with experience based common sense. Your ability to close mid to high value sales and deliver exceptional customer service will be paramount.

In return for your expertise, we offer an excellent remuneration package with a generous commission structure and bonus incentives. Immediate start is preferred, although August-September can also be considered for the right candidate.
