Research Assistant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for 2 x Band 5 Research Assistants (full time), to work in the Research & Development delivery team. Although the posts are based with Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust (BEH), the post holders will also work across the R&D delivery team at Camden & Islington NHS Foundation Trust (C&I) . As a member of R&D, the post holders will support both trusts' ongoing portfolio of clinical research studies, for a range of mental health, dementia, neurodegenerative, and other related studies, and assist with coordinating and delivering clinical research activity.

It's expected that applicants will have some working knowledge and understanding of clinical research, but this post is an opportunity to build on their existing knowledge and experience within a research setting.

The post holder will be expected to take a proactive role in the research infrastructure to support commercial and non-commercial studies at both BEH and C&I. This includes: working with clinical services, to identify, screen, and recruit potential study participants; Carrying out study baseline, follow up, and monitoring visits, with study participants, to collect study specific data and ensure that the research undertaken in the Trust is of the highest standard and in accordance with ICH Good Clinical Practice and other relevant guidelines.
