Responsibilities:
- Identify health and safety risks.
- Provide care for ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients.
- Assist patients in achieving specific goals, including health promotion and self-care under the direction of a physician or other health care professional.
- Assess patient's medical and physical states to establish priorities for intervention.
- Instruct and assist patients and caregivers in the use of assistive devices and adaptive techniques.
- Supervise patient's participation in recovery programmes and rehabilitation programmes.
- Intercept problems before they become serious.
- Undergo annual training on the latest technology and best practices.
