Role Overview & Responsibilities
A previous Village Green Cricketer and footballer, our 84-year-old Member also completed a trade apprenticeship in the construction industry and remained within it during his working life, becoming a Project Manager.
This veteran would like an extremely punctual male volunteer to accompany him once a week on walks in his local area, also to have good chats. Someone very good at respecting boundaries and available mid-mornings or early-afternoons, avoiding rush hour and school start/end times. Does this sound like you?
Volunteers must be over the age of 18 and understand the importance of relationship boundaries. The role can be flexible around your other commitments, but we ask that you are reliable and punctual for our veterans. You will be fully trained and supported so you feel comfortable and confident in your volunteering. Also, your public transport/petrol will be on us.
