Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are currently looking for a Cleaning Manager to manage an efficient and effective cleaning service in our Independent Living schemes whilst also minimising the cost to our residents and the business.

Proactive in your approach you will manage the Independent Living Cleaning team and be responsible for the overall performance management and team development.

What you will be doing:

  • Plan and co-ordinate all cleaning activity, ensuring that all schemes are covered within the time required to deliver a high-level service.

  • Regularly audit cleaning standards in schemes to ensure that they are of high-quality and that any issues are addressed.

  • Review plans of actions needed to ensure that they are completed in a timely manner and to a satisfactory standard.

  • Liaise with Scheme and Area Managers to monitor cover required, identifying additional support needed. Monitor regularly to ensure effectiveness.

  • Manage the Independent Living cleaning budgets and ensure that under or overspends are investigated and managed.

We’d love to meet someone with:

  • Experience of managing performance of staff, contractors, consultants and other agencies. .

  • Experience of working in a customer focussed service and involving customers in decisions about service delivery.

  • Ability to set and manage budgets and operate tight budgetary control in accordance with financial procedures.

  • Demonstrable experience in professional or domestic cleaning roles.

  • Competent in using IT applications such as Asprey, Dynamics 365, Microsoft Word and Outlook.

  • Ability to self-motivate and lone work.

  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.

  • A good communicator who can work as part of a wider team with excellent customer service skills.

  • A flexible approach to working hours and locations.

  • Knowledge of COSHH and Health and Safety legislation.

  • Knowledge of Professional Boundaries and Safeguarding
