Role Overview & Responsibilities

Do you like adventure, solving puzzles, and interacting with people? Are you looking for a part time, laid back, and fun job? If so, this is for you!

We are hiring a part-time Games Master, who plays an important role in creating unique and exciting entertainment for our customers. We are looking for quick learners with strong attention to detail, but most importantly, applicants should have a knack for hospitality and customer service.

Candidate must be available to work most Saturdays and some evenings. Working hours will depend on the amount and time of bookings. You will be contracted for 0 hours, but realistically might work around 10 hours a week. Pay is minimum wage, £10.42ph for over 25s

You'll be joining a small but excellent team of Games Masters. Training is unpaid but means you get to play all the escape rooms and learn their secrets! The rest you'll learn as you go with our support.

Job duties include, but not limited to:

-Arriving on time and opening and closing the facility (Lights, music, game rooms, etc.)

-Cleaning (Floors, toilets, bins etc.)

-Player Experience (Greeting, chatting, photos, etc.)

-Game Operation (Running the Escape Rooms, providing hints, resolving game play issues, etc.)

-Communication (Answering phone, responding to email inquiries, taking reservations, etc.)

-Game Reset (100% perfection for game resets, overcoming/mending misused puzzles/props)

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

Can interact easily with different groups of people

Fast learner - able to think on your feet

Strong attention to detail

Works well even when unsupervised

Ability to remain calm and friendly while under pressure

Tech savvy - basic computing, willing to learn new software, some basic DIY skills would be advantageous

Physically capable of lifting and moving props, shoving furniture around, rearranging intricate clues, etc.

Must be at least 18 years old to apply.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Zero hours contract
