Café Assistant

Cafe Ambio is a family run chain of Cafes based in the Lake District and Lancashire. We first established Cafe Ambio in 2009 at Astley Park, closely followed by The Lakeland Motor Museum in 2010. Cafe Ambio at Junction 36 Rural Auction Centre opened in 2013 with Grizedale Forest opening in 2022. We are delighted to be opening Cafe Ambio at Whinlatter in February 2023. We are currently looking to add some additional staff to the existing team.

We are looking for general Café Assistant to join our busy team here at Café Ambio, Whinlatter Forest. At Café Ambio we make everything on site from cakes, bakes, specials and deli items. We proudly hold a 5 star EHO food rating. We run the Cafe as a mix of counter and table service, and expect every customer to be given a warm welcome and farewell

As a general Café Assistant the role is front of house based, serving on the counter, making drinks, taking orders etc. What the role entails:

• Serving customers.
• Till work.
• Cash handling
• Making hot and cold beverages.
• Talking to customers.
• Cleaning.
• Washing up.

• to be experienced in a busy, fast paced café environment.

What's required:

• Till experience preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
• Barista experience preferred but not essential as training will be provided.

• Hours are 40 hours per week working any 5 days from 7.
