Interior Designer

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an aspiring Interior Designer to join our ever-growing team at Criterion Capital.

Key responsibilities:

• Undertake interior design projects from concept to completion
• Define project requirements and schedule during the construction design development phase
• Research and recommend materials and products for sourcing
• Produce “sample” and “mood products”
• Supervise work progress
• Work closely with designers, decorators, architects, and constructors
• Research and follow industry changes, evolutions, trends, and best practice
• Work with the procurement manager to ensure commercial viability
• Consider long term costs in use and maintenance requirements
• Such other duties as the employer may require

Knowledge, skills, abilities and experience:

• 
  In-depth knowledge of layout, color, lighting, materials selection, custom furniture and all interior installations.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, Illustrator or other design programs
• Creative talent, imagination and eye for design
• Communication and presentation skills
• Project management skills
• Commercial awareness with an ability to make judgements based on the optimum blend of beauty, quality, service and whole-life cost
• Ability to work at pace and to tight deadlines
• Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks.
• Highly organized and with great attention to detail.
• A hands-on, positive and proactive “can do” attitude
• A team player
• 3 years + working experience in designing and decorating interior spaces (consultations, renovations, space planning and new construction)
• Excellent portfolio of previous work
• BS degree in Interior Design or similar
