Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 DOE

Remit
Compass Associates are exclusively working with private provider of specialist mental health and wellbeing services, to recruit a Clinical or Forensic Psychologist to join them on a full-time permanent basis.

You'd be part of a specialist service which has been established with the aim to reduce the number of young people entering residential care or continuing to be in the social care system. The service supports children and young people who have challenging behaviours, mental health conditions and learning disabilities by carrying out comprehensive assessments, formulating individualised support plans and providing therapeutic/psychological interventions, via online methods. The service also support the families and parents, some of whom may be struggling with their own mental health conditions, substance misuse difficulties or criminal offending.

Working with this vulnerable client group means that safeguarding is paramount and there may be times where cases need to be escalated e.g. if someone needs to be referred to an inpatient service for their own/others' safety. Although mainly home-based you'd be part of a wider Therapy Team which is comprised of a Consultant Psychologist, Head of Service, Assistant Psychologists, PBS Practitioners, Behaviour Therapists and Counsellors, with whom you'd have online MDT meetings on a weekly basis.

Base
This is a home-based role however on occasion there may be a requirement to do a community visit. You will also be expected to visit Head Office in Greater Manchester, 1-2 times per month.

Essential criteria:
Doctorate in Clinical or Forensic Psychology
HCPC registration
Experience working with children and young people
Training in an additional therapeutic modality is desirable but not essential

Interview Process
Informal phonecall followed by a face-to-face or Teams interview with the Mental Health Professional Lead and CEO.
