Role Overview & Responsibilities
Job Description:
To assist in the production of Piston Forgings from billet to fully machined pistons, work as part of a team preparing forging surface to customer specification and working to an aerospace standard.
The Role:
- Assist with the setting of the piston forge and prepare tooling for production.
- Work as a team to meet production deadlines.
- Use hand tools to manufacture forgings customer standard
- Use manual machinery to prepare metal surfaces (Linishers & wet/dry Shot blast)
- Inspect parts for conformation and record issues
- Read and follow work instructions
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement through the team.
- Follow and complete TPM instructions and records
Candidate Profile:
- Automotive background preferred although not essential as full training will be provided
- Have a keen eye for detail and be an effective communicator
- Able to work from clear Engineering work instructions.
- Excellent Time keeping.
- Production line experience is preffered.
The role is to work permanently on double days.
Shift 1
Monday to Thursday: 06:00 to 14:00
Friday 06:00 to 13:00
Shift 2
Monday to Thursday: 14:00 to 22:00
Friday: 13:00 to 20:00
