Role Overview & Responsibilities

Croydon’s Domestic Abuse and sexual violence service (FJC) delivers a robust approach to tackling violence against women and girls. FJC have 2 permanent IDVA vacancies one role based within the police station and one based in Croydon University hospital working across maternity and ED.


This Roles includes:

  • Assessing victims of Domestic abuse and sexual violence and managing a MARAC case load.
  • Working across partnerships to robustly manage risk
  • Support colleagues within the MET and health to complete risk assessments and refer to appropriate organisations such as MARAC and voluntary sector.

About you

This role will require you to work in a high- pressured service areas and work closely with FJC and the Violence Reduction Network. The successful candidates must be able to demonstrate:

  • An ability to manage complex partnership working with a range of partners including VCS.
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to use a number of different databases eg Word, Excel and to interpret data generated from these and other spreadsheets.
  • Able to plan and manage work under pressure and apply prioritization across different areas of work.
  • Represent the local Authority in VAWG sectors.
