Quality Inspector
Role Overview & Responsibilities
Cubed Resourcing are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Inspector.
Due to continued growth, our client, a family-run subcontract engineering business, are looking for an experienced Quality Inspector to join their team.
Supplying various components to various industries, the company operates Fixed head Lathes, Sliding head Lathes & 3 VMC Milling machines. and also have a fitting section at their well-maintained Machine Shop based in Keighley.
The role
- Inspecting 1stand last-off components
- Patrol Inspections on Machines
- 100 % Dimensional and visual inspection of components manufactured on-site (batch inspection) Working to fine tolerances
- CMM experience preferable
- ISIR Reports/ any other metrology reports
- Calibration of all equipment and gauges
- ISO 9001 pre-audit
- Writing Quality Plans for customers when required
- PPAP when requested
- Patrolling the Despatch area to ensure parts are packed correctly
- Putting procedures in place e.g. check frequency's/ ordering plug gauges I looking at thumbnail gauges/ SPC analysis on the CMM.
Ideal Candidate
- Previous inspection experience
- It is advantageous if you have been a machinist in the past.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with people on all levels.
- Be able to work successfully as part of a team Able to use your initiative.
- Desirable CMM experience
- Computer literacy Microsoft word & Excel
- Good timekeeping and attendance record.
- Knowledge of GD&T
- Knowledge and skills using the following equipment Micrometers, Verniers, Shadow graphs, DTls, Internal Micrometers & Depth Gauges
Hours of work
- Monday - Thursday 07:00 - 16:15, Friday 07:00 - 12:00
Salary & Benefits
- Up to £36,000 DOE
- 20 days holiday plus stats, with 1 day gained with every 3 years of service
