Role Overview & Responsibilities
What you will be doing:
You will be undertaking training on the heavy maintenance overhaul of rolling stock as well as the electrical and mechanical light maintenance activities. Duties will include:
Carry out work as allocated by the Team Leader under supervision- Ensuring that safety procedures and documents are adhered to in accordance with Vehicle Maintenance Instructions and local instruction.
- Use of PPE in accordance with Standards and Local Instructions
- Attend further education vocational studies at college and undertake modules to achieve your NVQ Level 3
The successful candidate will have:
- Minimum of 4 GCSE’s—including Maths, English and Science is essential
- Experience using Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
- Some engineering experience is desirable
- Ability to work part of a team
