Coroners Officer
Role Overview & Responsibilities
The Coroner’s service has a vacancy for a full-time Coroner’s Officer to be based with the Chesterfield Coroner’s Court, Town Hall, Rose Hill, Chesterfield.
The role is to assist HM Coroner in investigating sudden and unnatural deaths. This includes gathering information to use as evidence, liaising with different agencies and supporting families through the inquest process.
The service is customer focused and there is an expectation good customer service should be given both face to face and by telephone.
The successful candidate will require excellent I.T skills and preferably have previous experience of using case management systems. The role requires good self-management of a case load and good organisational skills.
