Role Overview & Responsibilities
Based at the Civic Offices in Swadlincote, with the potential for limited homeworking. Hours of work will be Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 8.45am-5pm, Wednesday 9.00am – 5pm and Friday 8.45am – 4.30pm but flexibility is essential.
As the first point of contact within the Council, you will deal with a wide range of enquiries from customers via all channels. Whilst being a confident and hard-working individual, you must also have the ability to work as part of a team in a pressurised environment, remaining calm at all times. Excellent customer service and organisational skills are therefore essential for this role.
A working knowledge of council tax and/or housing benefits is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
