Role Overview & Responsibilities
Strategic communications intern
DRD is recruiting for an intern to support its Crisis, Litigation and Corporate Communication teams. You would work alongside Analysts, Associates and Partners, take part in team discussions and report to an Associate.
Your responsibilities would include:
- Media monitoring
- Stakeholder mapping
- Background research, often on highly confidential and complex issues
- Monitoring policy and industry developments
- Social media promotion and analysis
- Compiling journalist lists
- Proofing and copy-editing
- Researching, attending, reporting on industry or relevant networking events
Successful interns have the following core skills and experience:
- Working to high standards at pace and under pressure
- Scrutinising sources and thinking analytically
- Excellent writing ability (clear, concise and informed)
- Native-level English fluency
- Experience conducting detailed research
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Enthusiastic, keen to learn and work with diverse clients
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and online research
Remuneration and location:
DRD Partnership is a supporter of the Living Wage Foundation and subscribes to its London Living Wage of £11.95 per hour. Interns at DRD typically work up to 40 hours a week.
Location: Covent Garden.
We are currently all work from home on Mondays and Fridays, with Tuesdays, Wednesday and Thursdays spent together in the office, though Interns like all colleagues may be asked to attend the office on Mondays and Fridays and potentially, though rarely, undertake some tasks at the weekend.
