Role Overview & Responsibilities
This is a post within our busy Medical Engineering Department. The role includes tasks such as; carrying out servicing & repairs on specific medical equipment (once training has been provided), booking in & triaging medical equipment sent to our workshops and all logistics surrounding the EME Department.
The role demands an individual to have good practical skills, excellent communication skills and the ability to use a computer with a variety of software programs.
Attention to detail and ability to concentrate on one task for long periods is a must as the post involves working on multiple of the same equipment for extended periods.
Types of medical equipment worked on include: dynamic mattress pumps, thermometers, blood pressure monitoring devices, infusion devices.
Other duties include securely boxing up serviced medical equipment to be returned to customers and suppliers, receiving packages of equipment and spare parts, taking telephone calls and following department processes according to the quality manual.
