Receptionist

OVERALL SUMMARY

The role of “Receptionist” is predominantly focused on liaising with other members of the Reception

Team with the tools required to deliver an “above and beyond” experience at Etci Mehmet; from

monitoring reservation and restaurant capacity to ensuring compliance with the Etci Mehmet service

cycle, and that guest satisfaction is optimal with every visit.

This role requires a varied skill set, where the “Receptionist” must provide fantastic and courteous

service in line with company policy and procedure in parallel to liaising with the Head Receptionist to

optimise efficiency within the business.

KEY OBJECTIVES

1) Drive for excellence in guest experience at all times through service cycle adherement and the

maintenance of capacity and reservation levels.

2) Proactive approach to improving guest satisfaction.

3) Ensuring the safety of guests and the team is a key priority of the business.

4) To ensure that the service cycle is seamlessly delivered in the restaurant with every guest.

5) Liaising with the Head Receptionist receiving constructive, respectful, and consistent feedback in

order to improve the overall business performance.

6) To liaise with the Head Receptionist to discuss business performance and operations.

7) To take a proactive approach to self-development.

8) To respond professionally and respectfully to on shift guest requests.2

SPECIFIC DUTIES (This is not an exhaustive list of duties)

● To punctually attend rostered shifts, and report absenteeism in line with company policy.

● Understand duties for the shift.

● Complete daily Health and Safety/Maintenance checks and report any issues.

● Ensure the business is “Show Ready” before opening (lights/music/temperature).

● Resolve any guest complaints in an efficient and courteous manner.

● To partake in appropriate Reception Team breaks to ensure compliance with employment law.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £10.00-£11.00 per hour
