Role Overview & Responsibilities
The Role – IT Technical Engineer
Fresh people are currently recruiting for a IT Technical Engineer for their client a Fresh Produce Service provider based in Essex . You will be responsible for maintaining and optimising the company's IT infrastructure, ensuring the highest level of efficiency and security. As an IT Technical Engineer, you will work closely with other team members to provide technical support to end-users and resolve any issues that arise.
The Person
Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a similar role. Must have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of SQL, Prophet ERP or Business Reporting would be advantageous. Experience with ITIL or other industry-standard frameworks would be desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure and maintain hardware and software systems.
- Provide technical support to end-users and resolve any issues that arise.
- Provide end-users with basic training to allow them to effectively perform their day-to-day tasks.
- Maintain technical documentation on installation of software, configuration of hardware and problem troubleshooting.
- Troubleshoot network and system issues, and coordinate with 3 rd parties and other IT staff as needed.
- Manage and monitor all IT systems and infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Perform regular backups and disaster recovery procedures.
- Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Research and recommend new technologies to improve the overall efficiency and security of the company's IT infrastructure.
