Role Overview & Responsibilities
Core Purpose
Reporting to the Ancillary Team Leader, the Ancillary Operator will:
· Process and manufacture spirit on time to the correct specification for Bottling. This is inclusive of making the spirit available at the line.
· Unload/load tankers of spirit as per the plan. Set up the Maturation Warehouse facilities to accommodate the achievement of spirit availability on time to support the tanker and bottling programs
· Ensure sufficient space exists to allow the Distillery to function as desired. Process spirit for onsite filling or tanker delivery.
· Assist in effective management of IBC and remnant stocks
· Effectively manage data in Operations to ensure that HMRC guideline losses or gains are not exceeded
· Assist in ensuring that DRAMS stocks reflect the actual situation
Work Content
· Manufacture spirit to the required specification as per customer expectation
· Ensure that the filtering system has pads changed in line with CCP guidelines
· Take part as necessary in NCR investigation and root cause identification
· Effectively plan daily activity to ensure that sufficient spirit is available for Bottling on time and to the correct specification and identify possible shortages
· Effectively plan to facilitate the loading/unloading of tankers to the best vat location for onward processing
· Work closely with Warehousing and Bottling Hall staff to ensure that current plan is understood and achieved
· Input into effective scheduling: identifying potential spirit or equipment utilisation issues
· Continuous Improvement – actively take part in process improvement activity and identify to Line Manager possible areas for improvement
· Flexible in approach to requests for overtime if required

· Understanding of operating a SCADA interface system

· Literacy and numeracy skills to an extent which enables clear and professional communication
· Educated to a good secondary standard, preferably with Process Engineering knowledge
