The Position

We are looking for a part-time Delivery Driver to join our team at Grace's Bakery in Ryde! We deliver to over 60 wholesale customers across the Isle of Wight in addition to our home delivery service. 20 - 30 hours a week. Up to 40 hours/6 days a week if covering holiday and sickness.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Loading and unloading deliveries
• Delivering to a wide range of wholesale customers with a friendly and approachable attitude
• Delivering to our Home Delivery customers
• Delivering to other Grace's Bakery branches across the IOW
• Delivering invoices to wholesale customers
• Cash handling (Cash on Delivery customers)
• Accurate recording of waste/returns
• Clear and accurate filing of delivery notes
• Carrying out daily walk around checks on delivery van
• Covering sickness and holiday for the other drivers

What we're Looking For:

• Clean Driving License
• Previous experience in a delivery driving role
• Being punctual and reliable is vital
• Excellent customer service is vital
• Calm and professional manner
• Excellent attention to detail when recording information
• Organised and consistent use of filing system
• Basic Skills in English
• Basic Skills in Maths

Working Days:

Days to be discussed with the right applicant
Will be scheduled between Mondays and Saturdays

Hours:

Start times may vary from 4:30am to 9am depending on what run you are allocated to (we have 4 wholesale runs and 2 home delivery runs).
Finish time approx. 11:30am for wholesale and 3:00pm for home deliveries (Will depend on how long it takes you to complete your deliveries)
