Apprentice Parts Advisor

Permanent, Full Time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm

Salary £14,560.00 for the first 12 months, rising to £24,310.00 per annum OTE + Overtime at Rate x 1.5 once fully qualified

If you’re looking for an apprenticeship that will really take you places, then look no further! As an apprentice in the Jaguar Land Rover dealer network you’ll be part of a team that achieves what are almost certainly the highest completion and pass rates for any apprenticeship in the industry.

THE JOB

You’d be working under the guidance of a mentor in the parts department and reporting to the parts manager. Daily tasks would include serving trade and retail customers, identifying parts to suit customer orders and processing orders.

Other duties will include:

• Advising customers how to solve a problem with their vehicle and which parts they will require
• Taking orders from customers face to face, over the phone and by email and arranging delivery
• Dealing with payments, raising invoices and issuing receipts
• Checking the availability of parts on the computerised stock system
• Obtaining parts from the storeroom or if out of stock, ordering them from suppliers
• Maintaining shelf displays and updating stock records

You will need to evidence a passion for the motor industry, be hard working with a keen interest to learn new skills.

Required: GCSE grade A – C in Maths, English and ICT (or equivalent) and one other subject preferably a Science. This will be checked.
