Delivery Driver - Bakery Goods

Job Summary

Hunters the Bakers are in need of a committed, honest, cautious and sociable multiple-drop van driver to deliver bakery goods throughout the Scottish Borders including Hawick, Selkirk, Galashiels, Melrose and Kelso, amongst others.

Pre-requisites:

• Punctuality and a good attendance record;
• Clean driving licence;
• Cautious and sensible driver;
• CV alongside an appropriate reference from a former employer;
• General knowledge and experience of main and side roads and various locales throughout the Scottish Borders;
• Delivery driving experience of this nature is preferable but not essential.

Your role:

• Delivering fresh bakery goods to multiple customers in a suitable condition;
• Providing a friendly service to all customers, most of whom you will meet face-to-face each day;
• Maintaining a decent level of cleanliness of the vehicle provided for the job;
• Following a standard daily route within a set timeframe; and
• Aside from delivering you may also be expected to help with general duties inside the bakery such as packing orders for dispatch, or tidying up at the end of your shift, etc.

Job schedule:

• This listing is Full-Time;
• The working hours and hourly rate are negotiable but generally hours are between 5-10am, 6 days per week (Monday-Saturday) but with the potential for further hours/overtime if more are required especially if there is evidence of your capability and suitability for the job.
