Role Overview & Responsibilities
We are looking for a conscientious, hard-working, caring person to join our team as a Radiology Assistant within the Ultrasound department at Glangwili Hospital.
This is a 37.5 hour full time post but applicants looking for part time or job share are welcome to apply.
It is essential that you enjoy working with people and have great communication skills.
You must have patience and be methodical, work well in a team but have the ability to take initiative and work individually.
Duties include:
Assisting the Radiographers working in the clinical areas.
To perform clerical and administration duties.
To welcome patients and escort them to changing rooms.
To assist patients to prepare for ultrasound procedures.
Supporting the sonographers and patients during and after ultrasound procedures.
Cleaning and general hygiene tasks in the department.
Stock-taking and ordering of designated consumables.
Previous hospital experience would be desirable.

Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.
