An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual with excellent caring skills to join our team on this 12-bedded gynecology ward based in St. Mary’s Hospital.
We are looking to appoint compassionate, enthusiastic, kind, motivated and caring individuals who ideally have previous experience in providing care – either in a Hospital or a Care setting. You will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills, enjoy helping others and work as part of a team in order to improve patient experience.
The successful candidates will be encouraged and supported to gain new skills and experience within the role.

- Demonstrate a courteous, friendly and helpful approach to patients, colleagues and relatives, greet them orientate patients and visitors to the area.
- Measure and record routine observations of blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respirations, weight, height and BMI. Measure, record and report capillary blood glucose levels of patients when required. Report any abnormalities and concerns to the registered nurse. Take samples, including blood, as directed by the clinicians.
- Understand and adhere to all Trust policies, guidelines and procedures in particular: Health & Safety, Fire Safety, and Waste Management and Resuscitation policies.
- Assist in the ordering and restocking of supplies and maintenance of equipment and areas as directed by a registered nurse. Be responsible for the receiving and checking of deliveries to the area and following up on estates and cleaning issues.
- Participate fully as a team member, sharing knowledge and information and supporting colleagues, to promote a cohesive team and the achievement of team objectives.
