Data Scientist
Role Overview & Responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced Lead Data Scientist to join our team. This is a permanent role based at our HQ in Newcastle.
- At least 3-5 years in a similar role
- Knowledge of machine learning models, especially multiclass categorization, clustering, RNNs and decision trees; and their use cases
- Mathematics degree (or related degree)
- Excellent knowledge of statistical tests and their use cases
- Proficiency in Python
- Some experience of data visualisation
- Experience in deploying data science models/solutions to production (possibly also maintenance in production)
- Experience in successfully deciding the best direction for a project to take
- Able to manage their own workload and supervise other people’s workloads
- Able to cover for team members in their absence
- Confident presenting their work in meetings to colleagues and clients
