CNC Turner – Program, Setter, Operator

JRS are currently recruiting for CNC Turner to join their client in Church Crookham. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a manufacturing company who have a reputation of high quality products and are going through a period of growth.

As a skilled Turner you would be required to set & run single spindle CNC lathes to achieve high levels of consistency and accuracy over a comprehensive set of parts which go into our own products.

In addition to six single spindle lathes the company also operates six twin spindle twin turret machines and mill turn centres in the turning department so future potential to grow in terms of skills and training are available and encouraged.

Duties to include (but not limited to):

• A trained time served Turner using Fanuc controls
• Machining small high precision components to small diameters
• Ability to read engineering drawings
• Working with both ferrous and non ferrous materials
• Knowledge of cutting tool types and technology
• Programming, setting and operating with Fanuc controls
• An advantage to have a working knowledge of bar fed twin spindle twin turret driven tool CNC lathes
• Self inspection using precision measurement equipment such as Micrometers and CMM

Required Skills

• Skilled CNC Turner
• Ability to work to engineering drawings
• Experience of working with Fanuc controls
• Be able to communicate effectively with other experienced machinists
• Experience with operation of CNC mills would be an advantage
