Job Introduction

We are looking for experienced, committed and enthusiastic individuals to join as Bakery Assistants at our Bakery in Fairway, Port Talbot.

Job Role:

As a Bakery Assistant you will be at the forefront of our Bakery driving customer service. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this role as you will be working closely with customers and other members of your team to maximise sales. Although sales are important, we want our customers to enjoy visiting our Bakery and ultimately come back again, it is your job to provide help and assistance to the customer. Product knowledge is essential for you to respond to customer inquiries and make appropriate recommendations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Greet each customer with a warm and friendly welcome

· Listen to and talk with customers to find out what their needs are

· Lead and have accountability for your shift

· Prepare all our freshly filled rolls daily.

. Bake off all our savouries & display in our hot counter.

· Be passionate and knowledgeable about our products and services

· Always be in store, on time, smartly dressed and ready to serve

· Support profit protection through effective cost control

· Work as part of a team to complete store duties

. Must be prepared to complete Level 2 food safety training

About The Company

Jersey Bakery runs a network of Bakeries within Swansea, Llanelli, Neath, Port Talbot and Bridgend areas.

Must be available to work 6am-4pm

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Up to £10.42 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Port Talbot, SA12 7HR: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• Baking: 1 year (preferred)

Work Location: In person
