Role Overview & Responsibilities
An opportunity has arisen within the Pathology Stores Team currently based within the Old Medical School at Leeds General Infirmary. We are seeking a hard working, friendly individual to work within this small team. This is a varied role for an individual who is self motivated and able to organise time effectively to complete a range of tasks.
The Pathology Stores Team supports the Leeds Pathology Service by receiving and safe storage of goods, disposal of waste (clinical and domestic) generated by the pathology laboratories and the picking and packaging of supplies for GPs and Wards.
The post holder must be capable of physical effort and will be required to frequently lift heavy and awkward loads (up to 15kg). Rotation and training around all tasks of the role will be given.
The hours of work are 37.5 per week, which are currently between 07:30 - 16:00, Monday to Friday. Weekend and Bank Holiday working may be required subject to operational needs.
