Engineering Technician

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Engineering Technician to join our Engineering Department at Liverpool John Lennon Airport.

The successful candidate will join the Engineering team in a multi-skilled role and will be required to:

• 
  Carry out any planned, remedials and reactive work on critical systems around the estate that fall within their skillset.
• 
  Liaise with the Engineering Team Leader to ensure stock control and administrative duties are completed to departmental standards.
• 
  Communicate effectively as and when required with other departments.
• 
  Comply and co-operate with the company Safety Management System.

Led by a shift Engineering Team Leader, the successful candidate will work to a 4 on 4 off (2 days and 2 nights) twelve-hour shift pattern with occasional opportunities for overtime.

Typical systems include:

• 
  Life safety systems such as fire alarms
• 
  Baggage conveyors
• 
  Security
• 
  Lighting
• 
  Plumbing
• 
  Air conditioning

The ideal candidate for this position will have a relevant Engineering qualification (ONC or equivalent) and experience in a maintenance role.

We are also looking for candidates who have a good level of computer literacy, excellent team working skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
