WHAT WE DO
The ESOL department at Leeds City College is a grade 1 department. Our Adult provision was graded as Outstanding by Ofsted in May 2022. In 2021-22 there were over 5000 students with a team of 190, bringing education and life-changing experiences to our learners. We are looking to appoint a student engagement officer for age group 16-19s at North Street. LS7 2AA.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- You will support a range of enrichment activities and opportunities to enhance students’ personal and social development.
- You will provide support, guidance and supervision to our 16-19 ESOL learners.
- You will be an advocate for student voice -Lead on extra-curricular activities, including themes such as Prevent, I’m In, Staying Green, etc
YOUR PROFILE
- You should have Level 3 or above qualification in a relevant area
- You should have experience of working with young people and adults in an education/community setting
- You should have an additional language is an advantage
- You should have an understanding of current health, fitness and wellbeing issues relevant to teenage learners
- You should have experience of working to quality standards and deadlines
