Role Overview & Responsibilities
The Microbiology department at Maidstone hospital has an exciting new opportunity for a suitably qualified and enthusiastic individual to join our friendly and dedicated team as the Kent and Medway Pathology Network transitions towards a maturity. You will be involved in the new network MES tender for bacteriology and oversight of implementation of the new equipment as it is introduced, working in collaboration with colleagues throughout the network as well as the team at MTW.
Experience in training of all grades of staff will be essential, working with the training lead to facilitate our pool of Trainee and Band 5 staff towards attainment of the IBMS Specialist portfolio and development of our newly introduced Band 4 HCSA role.
