Role Overview & Responsibilities
We are currently working with a leading manufacturer of flow measurement equipment for onshore, offshore, and subsea applications. Established in 1968, the company has strong financials and a commitment to employee development. You will be part of a team working under your own initiative, welding and fabricating standard and custom products to established procedures.

Working hours
Monday – Thursday 8.00am to 17.00pm
Fridays 8.00am – 11.30am
Main duties and responsibilities
· Read and interpret engineering drawings
· Understand and adhere to weld procedure specifications
· Welding pipework to a high standard which will be subject to radiography
· Set up and tack weld of own weld joints
· Working to targets outlined by production manager and shop floor supervisor
· Operate in line with company HSE policies
· Maintain high levels of housekeeping
· Maintain equipment inline with company maintenance schedule
· Conduct in process quality checks and complete relevant documentation
Key competencies
· Time served welder with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in TIG and FCAW
· Experience welding exotic materials is preferred but not essential, including duplex, super duplex, nickel alloys and austenitic stainless steels
· Ability to accurately read and interpret engineering drawings
· Ability to set up and tack weld own weld joints
· Ability to successfully pass a welder qualification
· Ability to work in a meticulous manner, paying close attention to workmanship
· Ability to work within the internal quality system and ensure that a high standard of production is maintained
· Willingness to operate inline with company HSE policies
· Ability to consistently work inline with set company targets
