Plant Room Operator

Morgan King are working with on of the UK's leading packaging manufacturers that supply major retail brands with their packaging.

Due to continued growth and expansion, they are looking to hire a Plant Room Operative to join their team based at Wath-upon-Dearne site.

This is a permanent position offering excellent development opportunities.

Working hours:

• Monday to Friday
• Rotating shift: 6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm, 10pm - 6am (nights operate Sunday to Thursday)
• Regular overtime: Saturday 6am - 2pm when of mornings (paid at x1.5), Sunday 8pm - 10pm when on nights (paid x2)
• More overtime opportunities available

Pay:

• £27,000 - £28,000 per annum, depending on experience

About Plant Room Operative candidate:

• Prior experience in similar role operating boilers in industrial environment
• Ability to work unsupervised
• Mechanical awareness with good understanding of manufacturing processes
• Good communication skills
• Experience on Counterbalance FLT preferred

Responsibilities of Plant Room Operative:

• Working independently as part of engineering team
• Operating and maintaining industrial steam boilers
• Controlling automated starch manufacturing process
• Checking on work of three air compressors
• Taking and testing samples of effluent at internal water treatment plant
• Operating baling machines and loading bales onto wagons using FLT
• Escalating issues to engineering team if unable to rectify on your own
