This is a great opportunity for an experienced Highway Design/CAD Technician to join an Independently owned Transport Planning consultancy. Focused on working within the property development industry, such as retailers, house builders, private developers, and Landowners.

As a company they work with some of the UK's most successful development companies. Your role as Highway Design/CAD Technician will be responsible for

• Preparation of technical drawings utilising AutoCAD

• Preliminary design of access and basic junction design (Priority, roundabouts, signalisation)

Office Locations: London, Manchester, Birmingham

Key responsibilities for this Highway Design/CAD Technician role:

• Preparation of technical drawings utilising AutoCAD

• Preliminary design of access and basic junction design (priority, roundabouts, signalisation)

• Production of other design drawings such as car parks, bus stations, footways, and cycle routes.

• Swept path analysis using AutoTrack

• Preparation of high-quality graphics using GUS packages and/or Corel Draw

Experience required for Highway Design/CAD Technician role:

• Knowledge of relevant standards (DMRB/ MfS/ Local Transport Notes/ Traffic Signs Manual)

• Good knowledge of AutoTrack software

• Excellent communication skills

• Good levels of numeracy and literacy

• Preliminary designs

• Formal education in either Civil Engineering, Geography or Transport Planning (HNC,HND,Degree)
