An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a truly unique expanding engineering company in the Midlands. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to be a productive part of the fabrication team. Working on our own unique product range and sometimes inspiring projects from our distinctive customer base.
We have a fantastic opportunity for experienced Fabrication Technician to join the team. You will be responsible for the welding & fabrication in relation to the maintenance, repair, production and overhaul of projects and associated equipment in accordance with applicable standards, procedures, specifications and instructions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand and interpret fabrication and assembly drawings/specifications
- Fabrication of sheet steel, extruded steel weldments and other materials as required
- Carry out welder/fabricator project work to a high standard in the workshop and on-site
- Ability to work on multiple projects under pressure and specific deadlines
- Managing job documentation
- Discussing job requirements with the foreman and working in union with them
- Resolving queries and following up
Key Attributes:
- Suitably qualified in the welding of mild and stainless steel and in gas and plasma cutting
- Experience in Mig Welding and Tig Welding (desired)
- Great communication and motivational skills
- Able to work on your own without leadership in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills
- Appropriate lifting equipment licence (desired)
- Confident in using a variety of tools and equipment
- Flexibility to respond to a variety of work situations
- Strong H&S approach to work, with knowledge of regulations/compliance relevant to engineering
Full-time 7.30 – 5.00 Mon – Fri
