Role Overview & Responsibilities

This is an exciting opportunity to join our developing network of digital psychological therapies services in NHS GG&C. We are seeking up to 2WTE Band 8A Principal Psychologists to join our developing Digital PT Team. You'll deliver high intensity/highly specialist one-to-one Psychological Therapies, remotely using NHS Near Me, to service users referred to the Digital PT Team by psychology services who are experiencing long wait pressures.

You will be a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist, registered as such with the HCPC, have experience of the delivery of evidence-based psychological therapies to adults, either gained via training or post-qualification, and have undertaken (or be eligible for) formal training in the supervision of psychological interventions delivered by others. Postholders will be required to supervise qualified psychological therapists and will provide supervised placements to trainees undertaking the West of Scotland Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, and other types of psychological therapists in training as required.

The successful postholders will be supported and supervised by a Consultant Psychologist and will have access to a range of development and CPD opportunities. Postholders will be able to work in a blended way, with a proportion of time working from home and a proportion of time working from a base (base to be confirmed). Hours will be worked between Monday-Friday 9-5. Candidates about to qualify (or recently qualified), as well as those wishing to work part-time, will be considered.
