Ward Clerk - John Van Geest Ward, Stamford

We are seeking to recruit a Ward Clerk for a part time position (Monday, Wednesday and Friday). Are you someone who enjoys a challenge and able to work as part of a dedicated team, whilst being able to work under your own initiative and are you looking to work in a busy healthcare setting? You will be the welcoming face of the ward, therefore we are looking for a professional and enthusiastic individual, who demonstrates good communication and interpersonal skills.

You will need to have an ability to be flexible in your role and duties due to the nature of the ward. There will be a high level of contact with colleagues from all professions, patients and relatives and you will be expected to provide clerical support to members of the nursing team at ward level.

To welcome patients, relatives and carers on arrival to the ward.

• Ensure patient details are correct on our IT systems and complete

admission details on arrival

• To deal with enquiries and to pass information to the appropriate

staff.

• To provide a courteous, responsive and effective point of contact

(in person and by telephone) for patients, carers and healthcare professionals, both internal and external to the Trust.

• Promote a customer focused approach to receive patients and

visitors to the ward.

• Distribute post to patients on the ward
