Chinese-Speaking Journalist and Video Presenter

At China Minutes, our mission is to help people better understand China and Chinese culture. As a London-based media company, we cover local events related to China, as well as social developments and trends in China. Through our work, we strive to demystify China and make Chinese culture more accessible.

We're now seeking a talented and dynamic Chinese- and English-speaking journalist who is based in London to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about sharing their knowledge of China and its culture with a global audience. In this role, you will be responsible for researching and reporting on various China-related news stories and events in London. Additionally, as a video presenter, you will create and present short videos on topics such as learning Chinese, China travel tips, and Chinese culture for our audiences on Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.

Responsibilities:

Conduct research and report on China-related news stories and events in London and the UK.

Film and present short videos on a variety of topics to our English-speaking audience of China enthusiasts.

Participate in brainstorming sessions for new ideas and content creation.

Attend events and conduct interviews with local personalities and experts.

Collaborate with other team members to ensure high-quality content is produced and delivered to our audience in a timely manner.

Requirements:

Fluency in Chinese and strong proficiency in English.

Experience in journalism, news reporting, or related fields.

Knowledge and interest in Chinese culture, events, and news.

Ability to present short videos in a clear and engaging manner.

Excellent communication, writing, and research skills.

Experience in social media and digital content creation is preferred.

Strong time management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £20,000.00-£25,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
